The Month Of Expectation

Emily Dickinson said that “March is a month of expectation” and we hope that you’re all as excited as we are for what the rest of the year will bring - it already started off with a bang when, the award-winning songwriter, Kaysha Louvain played a stunning set at our latest Storyteller Evening in Bourton’s Live Music & Cafe Bar in Bargoed. She stepped in at the twelfth hour to replace Jake Weller!

And there’s more live music coming your way when Swansea’s Roger Henderson plays Mumbles Market on March 11th and the Marina Market on the 12th - stop off and say hello if you’re visiting either of the markets, he’d love to chat!

The week after on March 17th we have our latest Band Night at Newbridge Memo with the amazing Tom Crow & The Ghostriders, plus very special guests, Bowen. Now that is going to be one fantastic evening!

Talking of live music, don’t forget that Mr Bewlay’s “Black Reason” tour kicks off Sunday 5th at The Moon, and you can catch him at the following venues:

Our friends at The Second 45 in Llanelli are launching the next TIWN magazine at their record shop on March 11th with a showcase performance from The Hepburns who will be playing tracks from their new album from 3pm.

Also, we will be producing a TIWN Special for Focus Wales featuring The Coral, Squid, Juice Menace, Cerys Hafana, The Joy Formidable and lots more. The magazine will be available from the showcase festival in Wrexham and online (also can be ordered from our website). If you’d like to advertise in it and reach all the movers and shakers in the global music industry drop us a line!

Mike will be catching up with Steve Johnson from The Anonymous Iconoclasts for Welsh Connections to talk about their latest album and that will be available on Mixcloud alongside three other brand new shows, for 2023, with Tapestri, Performance poet Violet Malice and actress Karen Brace.

Catch you next week Pawb x
