Spring Has Sprung
We think it’s safe to say that Spring has sprung… finally!
There more sunshine than rain so that’s it, right? As well as the arrival of Spring, we’ve had plants to celebrate as Caitlin Lavagna’s latest single was A-listed by BBC Radio and she’s been getting plenty of airplay with other stations around the world too - all this while she’s been on tour with ‘Operation Julie’
We’ve had live music at Swansea’s Uplands Market with Eleri on Saturday.
There are new Sleeve Notes interviews coming up with Mike who’s been sitting down with Sorrel Nation, Teri N and Mike Lloyd, from The Time Mechanics too…

Speaking of TIWNFEST -
Tickets for TIWNFEST 2024 have now been on sale for over two months and we’re disappointed to say we’re still in single figures for tickets sold. We have put together 20 amazing acts to entertain the public from 12pm-12am, right on peoples doorstep. Rock bands, cover bands, pop bands, country bands, acoustic acts…
What’s not to love?
Standard ticket for an adult is £25, that is £1.25 per act. Would you pay that to see one act? We know we would certainly pay much more.
We are under a month away and as a small business using our own money to put this event on, we are starting to worry that the money we are spending is not going to be recouped. This would not only be saddening for this event and the people involved but it would also jeopardise the future music events that we wish to hold.
We do not want the last 6 months of planning to be for nothing. We want to bring high-quality live music to Newbridge, give a platform to original music and create a safe and welcoming place for creativity in the community.
With all this being said, we will be assessing tickets sold on May 10th and if our minimum number hasn’t be sold we will unfortunately have to rethink the event. We wish for this not to happen and if everyone can purchase their tickets as soon as possible it would make ours, the venue's and all artists taking part feel much more confident that the festival can go ahead.

Finalists for The Celynen Film Festival will be announced next Monday 6th May, along with the showing times.
