‘I’m running from an aching and running to a pain’ - April 3rd by Deke Leonard (Kamikaze)

Now not every April 3rd is that miserable. Take today, for instance, with the latest TIWN blog which (for those of you that know) brings you all the latest news from the TIWN team - with links to some pretty amazing content!

The new single by The Vanities, Private Army, was released last Friday followed by a fantastic instore session at The Second 45 in Llanelli - next up at the flagship record store are 2023 Welsh Folk Award nominees Tapestri on Thursday April 13th from 2.30pm. The duo of Sera & Lowri are filming across the road at Tinopolis so thought they’d pop in for a ‘surprise’ gig!

On the gig front, we have the lovely and talented KatieLou playing our latest Storyteller Evening on April 7th at Bourton’s live music bar from 7.30 - booking is recommended to avoid any disappointment on the night - and a week later at The Muse in Brecon, we have our first Storyteller event there, when Rob Lear takes to the stage.

We are also continuing with our ‘Music At The Markets’ with the Urban Foundry and have Eleri Angharad at Swansea Marina on the 8th and Paul Edwards in Mumbles the day after - both are 11.30am starts.

TIWNFEST is on the 15th and this is going to be HUGE with some amazing musicians playing across two stages it’s the biggest event we’ve put on to date, with headliners Paisley Parc! Very few tickets remain. Get yours here: TIWNFEST Tickets

And don’t forget to order your official TIWNFEST tees here alongside the latest from The Vanities and many other exclusive designs on our Store.

It’s a big week for Craig as he officially celebrates one year of hosting the Welsh Connections Playlist show which now regularly pulls in over 200,000 weekly listeners worldwide - he’ll be presenting a special show picking his favourite tunes featured on the show to date. Listen HERE!

Finally…..Phew!
Some big names have been chatting with us as Mike caught up with Hollies legend Allan Clarke to talk about his new single, solo album and working with Graham Nash again, plus we had a lovely message from Dave Mustaine… more on that later ;)
