BBC Radio, Showcases & Future Projects

It’s been another busy week at TIWN HQ with Kaysha and Craig out with the TIWN Academy running the hugely popular workshops in schools. They’re back at Pantside and Bryn Bach on the 15th and 16th of this month to record the songs that the children wrote and to give them a massive surprise- as they’ll be playing at TIWNFEST in April on The WIGWAM/JAMMA, main stage!

We’ve been blown away by the response to Mr Bewlay’s latest release - Tormentor has had some fantastic airplay from Amy Lamé at BBC 6Music and Adam Walton at BBC Radio Wales. You can catch up with Mr Bewlay on his forthcoming UK tour and treat yourself to some exclusive new merchandise that will be available - we’ve got some real goodies and surprises coming your way!

Following the huge success of the Radio Wigwam Awards earlier this year we have started discussions with them and JAMMA to look at partnering up on some joint projects to help grow the TIWN Academy and television show TIWN & Vision - we’re also working with them and the very talented Blank Face on bringing some exciting live events to support grassroots music in Cardiff in the near future... watch this space!

And talking of live events, Kaysha Louvain blew the crowd away with her showcase performance at Llanelli’s flagship record shop, The Second 45, last week. She performed her latest single, Trouble, which has been added onto the BBC Radio Wales A-List, which makes it Kaysha's third time. A limited run of physical CD's are available at The Second 45 and a part of her bundle in our store

Future artists booked in to perform at The Second 45 are Jonny Williams and The Hepburns, with more to be announced soon.

The latest TIWN magazine is going to the printers soon and we have an exciting line-up of contributors including Music Scene Wales, and Holy Coves frontman, Scott Marsden, REPEAT’s Richard Rose and, in a worldwide exclusive, Jodie Marie will be telling us all about her recent trip to Norway! Please pre-order your copy now because we know a few people were left disappointed after we sold out of issue 1!

Finally for this week TIWNFEST tickets are finally available and the line-up is confirmed! We’ve got some amazing bands and artists playing at this family friendly, community focused day! We’re passionate about supporting and showcasing grassroots music and April 15th will be the culmination of a huge amount of hard work by TIWN and everyone that supports what we do.

Hope to see you there,
Michael, Craig & Kaysha x
