Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical

Swansea Arena December 6th, 2022

For a first visit to Swansea Arena, Bat Out Of Hell was quite an experience and despite only knowing a handful of the songs (I’m only 21!) an exciting and enjoyable one.

Let’s start at the very beginning - We went to the wrong door and ended up in the wrong area but help was immediately on hand to redirect us and that was the start of a fantastic evening because everyone at the Arena is so helpful and genuinely pleased to interact with you.

The venue, itself, is easy to access and really impressive with ample bars and facilities and certainly has the ‘wow’ factor as you approach and catch sight of the digital skin.

The show and set is a visual delight which kept us on the edge of our seats throughout the performance. Rob Fowler (as Falco) and Sharon Sexton (Sloane) were mesmerising and easily, for us, the stars of the show!

Packed with 18 Jim Steinman and Meatloaf hit songs that had the crowd singing along this really is a music lovers delight - and I’m sure we saw Bonnie Tyler singing along in the distance!

Whatever you age, or music preferences, Bat Out Of Hell is a complete and uplifting joy. It’s not every show that get a standing ovation is it?
