Lucifers Beard Shakes it up!
Today I give you a recent find from Musosoup.
Lucifers Beard, solo project of Chris Barnes, releases his latest single ‘Shake On The Floor’ a hard hitting British rock song of the past, with hints of ‘Queens Of The Stone Age.’ His melodic vocals create a unique take on the alternative rock genre, with influences of blues rock intertwined.
Being Welsh, I have grown up listening to Manic Street Preachers, and there are hints of early ‘Manics’ laced throughout, especially in the intro.
The different rhythms and drum patterns create a dynamic song but it is still very easy to groove to. This is definitely a song you will rock out to.
Lucifers Beard is a great find, and an artist we will be keeping a very close eye on for any more future releases. We love someone who takes risks.
‘Shake On The Floor’ is full of fantastic vocals throughout, Chris has a fantastic belt and a very typical rock falsetto that is pretty damn awesome. His tone is bluesy, which fits in well with the mix of Blues Rock riffs that appear in this song.
The guitars are emphatic and genre bending. It’s great to hear a song that is influenced by so many great genres. It’s clear to see Chris is a well educated musician, as the song is written and produced solely by himself.
We want to say a HUGE congratulations on the release and wish you all the success Chris!
