“The September of My Years”
We’ve been busy mailing out copies of the latest TIWN Magazine for everyone who pre-ordered and we’re still getting orders in, so, be sure to order yours online now to secure a copy. Please don’t leave it until the last minute as we have been selling out recently and would hate for you to be disappointed!
There’s been some great new music out recently, notably from MACY, The Moonstones, Sally Crosby, The Modern Rogues, Interstella Boy and Modern Neutrals and this week we have Matt Kiano and South Of Polaris dropping new music. All these tracks are getting worldwide airplay, have you checked them out yet? You can always find our favourite new releases on our spotify!
On Saturday, at The Second 45, the Llanelli Queer Collective launched their Fringe with a live performance from Stef Burn and there are lots more events planned for the next few days - check out their Facebook page for details.
As many of you will have seen already, we have decided to retire the Welsh Connections Playlist show and replace it with Louvain’s Welsh Hour from next month. The new show which started on Folk Friday Radio is the natural successor to the WCP and will now be available on several stations worldwide including Radio Wigwam, Newport City Radio, Folk Friday Radio & Oystermouth Radio (all UK), Rockin’ Waves (USA) and Onda Wantuki (Spain). September show will be available to listen to on Folk Friday Radio on Tuesday 17th September at 9pm.
And as we’re talking about ‘radio’ are you all ready for Mike’s return to live radio on Oct 2nd? He’ll be back in the hot seat after 4 years on SA Radio Live presenting The Scene, featuring the best new music from Wales plus all your favourites from the archives. Tune in between 7-10pm every Wednesday on 106.5FM or via the app!
See you next week!
