Here Comes The Sun

The sun is finally out and you can just feel it getting warmer as we head into festival season - but don’t forget, there’s so much more going on than just tantrums and tents and at TIWN we will continue to bring you great music every day of the year!

Last Friday at Newbridge Memo we had our latest band night with The Secret Faces, Katie Lou & Solarcats. What a fantastic night of original music - thank you to everyone that supports these events and live grassroots music.

Another thank you goes to Cobra Music Studios for engineering the evening.

Unfortunately, we did have to cancel the Bob Fitzgerald gig in Llanelli due to low ticket pre-sales. We know many people were disappointed but unless tickets are bought in advance for events of this size we cannot risk losing the considerable amount of money involved. We are a small, grassroots organisation with no funding for any of our events.

Talking of live events, while Kaysha and Craig have been working hard, Mike has been spotted in Acapela with Go West’s Peter Cox, Aberdare Coliseum with Anthony Bunko for Knuckles, Pontardawe with Brian Karrot and The Muse, Brecon, for Wild Willy Barrett & John Otway! Something wrong with the work-life balance here we think...

At The Second 45 in Llanelli, Josh Beddis and Tom Emlyn have been playing our showcase events at the flagship record store - and there are lots more coming too.

New Welsh Connections interviews have featured Australia’s The Daisycutters, Mwnci Studios Jethro Chaplin, 5 times UK drummer of the year Sam Kelly and Cardiff’s Himalayas. Meanwhile, Craig has been chatting to his near quarter of a million listeners each week and zooming with Mr Phormula!

We’ve all been working away at campaigns for America’s Ronda Ray as well as on new music for The Dragonflies and The Crawling Eye’s latest album ‘The Wretched Truth’

And if you head on over to our store we will have a whole new range of tees appearing over the next few weeks for Pride, Father’s Day and more. We’ve also been working with the amazing Paterson’s on new t-shirts, stickers and CDs. Be sure to check out her socials for more information.

Is that enough for you all? Well, for now maybe x
