We’ve got some great things planned for the coming year with more live events at the Newbridge Memo starting with Kaysha Louvain & Friends on January 19th.
We’ll also be bring you a variety of tribute acts and taking a walk through the decades as Newbridge Memo celebrates it's Centenary.
As you all know TIWNFEST 2024 is back and this year we are incorporating The Celynen Film Festival alongside it. Make sure to keep an eye out for the line-up and ticket release this month.
We will also be continuing the monthly instore sessions at The Second 45. Unbelievably, the guys at The Second 45 are celebrating their first anniversary. The time has flown and from what we’ve seen, and been told, it really is the best record shop in Wales! Not paid a visit yet? You can find them at No.4 Park Street, Llanelli SA15 3YE - just down from the Ffwrnes Theatre.
The Welsh Connections Interview Show has some interesting guests coming up this month as Mike catches up with Sandi Thom, Shed 7 and legendary arranger & composer Van Dyke Parks (Beach Boys, Randy Newman, Nilsson, Ringo Starr, U2 etc). These shows are unmissable!
This week Mike and Josh Ace will also be presenting over £700 to the Forget Me Not Dementia Charity based in Swansea following Man’s gig in December. The band, Jordan McGuire, at the Bunkhouse, and ourselves made sure all profits from the concert went to this deserving organisation.
On February 1st we will be filming the first series of Artist on Artist which is a new project that takes away the formal format of an interview and removes the interviewer. Talking about the industry, their experiences, the do's, the don'ts, people they've worked with, gigs they've done, what to stay away from, what has been memorable, the current streaming debate, etc etc... Nothing is off limits. We’ve teamed up with the brilliant Cobra Music Studios. Keep your eyes peeled!
