Lots to celebrate this week and we bet all you romantic types will be buying your St. Dwynwen’s Day cards. Don’t know her?

Saint Dwynwen was around in the 5th century and is known as, the Welsh patron saint of lovers. She is celebrated throughout Wales on 25 January! Every day’s a school day!!

Sandi Thom is Mike’s special guest on the Welsh Connections show this week and he’ll also be talking to Slade’s Don Powell, Martin Ace from Man and Beatles author Aaron Bagbly about his latest book on Dark Horse Records for future episodes.

For fans of live music, we have Eleri playing live at Urban Foundry’s Swansea Bay Street Market on Saturday from 11.30am - and on the same day but at 3pm, Desert Life are playing an intimate set at The Second 45 in Llanelli to launch their new album.

Finally, a massive well done to all the nominees of this year’s Radio Wigwam Awards! We are official sponsors for the event and it has been great to see our merchandise shipping worldwide. Enjoy and good luck!
